HGTV 2011 Dream Home

Every year, I look forward to the revealing of  HGTV's Dream Home (although I'm a little behind on posting about it this year). This years home is located in Stowe, Vermont, surrounded by gorgeous mountains.

Have you seen this years home yet?
If not, here is your chance!

OUTSIDE OF THE HOME:

CAR BARN:
Chandeliers in a car barn? Oh well, I love it.

ENTRYWAY:

GATHERING ROOM:
Such an interesting ceiling fixture and gorgeous windows

KITCHEN:
The kitchen boasts a 13 ft. long island

DINING ROOM:
Love this adjoining dining room. Gorgeous windows, but those chairs? Yuck. They remind me of an office. I feel like the goal was to be modern and functional, but I think there are so many better choices out there.

MASTER BEDROOM:
An extra hidden linen closet outside of the room
Love the curtains at the entry of the master bath

MASTER BATHROOM:

GUEST BEDROOM:
Gorgeous view of the outside terrace

GUEST BATHROOM:

LIVING AREA:
I am in love with this space
Bar/snack area

SKI DORM:
Love the corresponding bed and hook numbers

SKI DORM BATHROOM:
 So functional, but so cool

MUDROOM:
Complete with gorgeous shelving and it's own entrance. Perfect after a day of skiing

Favorite part of the house: My most favorite part of the house was definitely the living area. I loved the mix of the navy and green, and the huge barn door. It is definitely some inspiration that I am considering for part of my home.

Least favorite part of the house: Those silly dining chairs. I know it seems minor, but I feel like it was such a mistake. There are so many great options out there. HGTV totally missed it on this one.

What was your favorite and least favorite part of the home? x

I have a love-hate relationship with this dream home. I mean, I'll take it, but I am usually so blown away by the home and bookmark every page! I love the kitchen, the downstairs living, pretty much everything but the dining and upstairs living.

There is some severe gorgeousness here! My hubs flipped over the fridge and started analyzing how inefficient it was... haha! I had to steal the computer back! I want a house so baaaaaaaaad! <3

i agree with the dining chairs... there are so many other options. also, the master seems kinda small (at least in the pictures). i'll take it thought, i wouldn't complain... :)

I love the set up of the guest bath. It seems perfect, only I would have a claw foot tub. There must be a pocket door that encloses the tub and toliet from the sink. Perfection! I couldn't help but to sketch it out and stick it in the dream house files. Love your blog. Heidi

I love the house so much! My three favorite rooms are the master bedroom, the ski dorm, and the kitchen. I mean there all my favorites but i like the three I mentioned the most. I love the car,the living area, and the fact that the location of the house is so beautiful. I want this house so much so I hope I get lucky and win the house.

Love,
Cj

When I initially left a comment I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on every time a comment is added I get four emails with the exact same comment.
There has to be a way you can remove me from that service?
Thanks a lot!
