Becoming Bohemian?

 Image via Elle Decor

If there is a style that I would say I am most definitely not, it would be bohemian. But can I just say, that part of me would really love to be bohemian.  Isn't there something just so beautiful, unique, but still put together about this room?

While I love the bohemian look, my New Year's resolutions do not include plans to become bohemian chic. But I promise, that this next week I will let you in on a few of my resolutions for 2011. For now, I'm headed to my families lakehouse to spend New Year's Eve with my most favorite people. I hope you have fantastic things planned for your New Year's Eve, as well!

I most likely won't be back till Monday, because Sunday {January 2nd} is my 22nd birthday! I cannot believe that my birthday is already here again. I'm excited for this year though, I feel like great things are most definitely instore.

Psst--For Christmas I received a gift card to Amazon. I'm considering ordering a new decor book, but am a little unsure about which book I want to order. So...while I am gone for a few days, leave me the title of your all-time favorite decor book...I'd love some recommendations!

Cheers and love to all. x

That's funny. My favorite shop for clothes is Anthropologie. Every time I am in there I wish I could pull off some of their decor . . not going to happen, though! :)

I agree, I'm not bohemian in decor or personality! I wish sometimes that I was though. A bohemian design book is bobos in paradise, but there are not pictures {I'm a picture book kinda gal}

I have no idea what my decorating style is! I guess it's a little bit of everything except modern industrial.

Many wishes for a Happy New Year and Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, dear friend! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! The picture you posted is beautiful...although I'm with you- it's not quite my style.

I love Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic book...now THAT is my style (plus a touch more of traditional modern elements, too.)

Much love, Carly!

i wish i could pull off this type of style... i love it! but i'm always afraid that I'll get sick of it too quickly, so for now I remain boring. :) I do like to throw some crazy fun stuff into my everyday decor just to spruse things up though.

I'm working on my office/craft room this weekend, maybe I'll make it insanely girly and bohemian! ;)

happy new year!!
