I received these small "pots" from someone {there are 3 of them, although only 1 is pictured} earlier this year. There's nothing wrong with them, I think they're pretty and could work in the right home. However, I'm trying to move away from the darker, earthy tones in my home and onto the cooler tones. I also wanted them to be a more neutral color, so that they could be moved from room to room.
{They're perfect for holding little miscellaneous items}
Nothing a little spray paint can't fix, right? I had an extra can of white spray paint at the house, so I decided that white would be a good change. I hope it isn't super awful to change or alter something that was given to you!
{I think the markers look perfect. I love the pops of color.}
I'm very happy with the change, but I'm definitely thinking that they could use a little something else on them. Maybe I'll keep my eye out for a small stencil design...
What do you think? Do they need a little something else or is this simple color change enough? x

I think they are cute as is but you could stencil a design on them if you want more color.....
They look so much better in white but agreed a stencil will be cool, maybe a monochrome letter! xo
I actually like it as is since there's so much color going on all around it. Although a do love a good monogram. And yes, it's perfectly OK to change things people give you.
I like it! Maybe a subtle chevron pattern, and you could do it with tape?
loving them in white... they look great! i agree with kendra, a chevron pattern might be nice...
I like the plain simple white! And I feel the same way about gifts, often from my students eek.. is that mean?
