So hubby and I have made a big change in our lives. We're going "vegetarian." I put it in quotes because we aren't considering ourselves hardcore veggies...yet, but we're making an honest attempt at cutting a lot of meat out of our life. The decision is health based and not anti-meat eating/belief based, just in case you were wondering.
Anyways, I can't take any responsibility for all of this project. My hubby did all of the hard work (the building, the mixing of soil, etc.) and research that helped us build our own little garden, I just helped put the plants and seeds in. Code is very proud of his work, and was even a little excited (even if he wouldn't admit it) that I'd be showing it on the blog, so here it is!
An overall view of the garden
A few close ups of the plants (and their labels).
(Ignore the lanyard and ID that I'm still wearing. I always forget to take it off after school.)
We've got lots of ideas on how to make the entire area around the garden more beautiful, and I'm looking all over for different ideas and inspiration. As always, I'll be sure to keep you in the know with any improvements or changes!
Wish us luck with the veggie diet...
cause Lord knows that I love me some steak.

Good for you! I became a vegetarian last year and I found it was really easy to make the switch. Good luck!
Your garden looks great! I want a garden, but highly doubt I can keep it weeded or alive :). Good luck to you and your hubby on becoming vegetarian.
