Honey, What do YOU think of Honeysuckle?

If you haven't heard, Pantone has announced their color of 2011...Honeysuckle. When I heard the name, I pictured a yellowish-orange color, but it's really  a reddish pink. Honeysuckle is most definitely bold and bright, but also beautiful. You'll have to be bold too, if you decide to incorporate it into your decor.  Here are a few inspiration images for you...

Pure Project #12

Today, I'm linking up to Lauren's Pure Project #12 over at Pure Style Home. Lauren's challenge for this week was simple; pick greenery or flowers and put them on your table to enjoy! 

Last week my sweet husband brought me home a bouquet of some of my favorite flowers in my favorite color...yellow! So, I created two little arrangements with the flowers left from that bouquet along with some flowers from a nice neighbor's yard.

 This little arrangement is on our dining room table.

And these little vases and flowers are in our bedroom.

They definitely really add a little light and happiness to my day! xo

I know that it's a little early but I just wanted to send out a "Happy Valentine's Day!" wish to all of my beautiful, blogging friends. Hubby and I will be out celebrating all day tomorrow and then heading out of town to Shreveport, LA for Sunday and Monday.

Wake Up And Smell The Flowers

Has anyone noticed a trend with flowers lately? I sure have...from purses, to jewelry, to pillows...here are just a few of my favorites!

Flowers in the latest bridal styles.

A little too much for me, nothing I could pull off, but don't you think Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City could?

Some of the biggest designers, Versace and Prada, are also incorporating the flower applique on their handbags.

The flowers are incorporated in the curtains in this casual dining area. And the pendant light in this photo reminded me of another pendant light I had seen before...

This beautiful lotus pendant light was what I was reminded of...isn't it gorgeous?
