Spots, Spots, Spots

Today I took my Great Dane puppy dog, Molly, to the field behind our house. I live in a rapidly growing town named Mansfield in Texas, and while our 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is pretty much in the suburbs...we've been blessed to have a huge field right behind our back fence. I absolutely love this as it speaks to my small-town, country girl vibe, the field still has a main street on the other side, but oh well...close enough. Here's a pictures of my puppy dog (yes, she's still a puppy...only 7 months old) playing in that field...

Aren't her spots beautiful? That is one thing that I absolutely love about her. Many people mistake Molly for a dalmatian because of how many spots she has.

Well anyways, watching Molly run around the field made me think. I absolutely love her spots and I love spots in general. My most favorite dress that I own is red with white polka dots. But what about polka dots and spots in decor? When I got home I surfed the web for ideas and rooms that incorporate dots & spots but most of the rooms that I found were baby's nursery's.

So what do y'all think? Can dots & spots be used in decor without looking cheesy or like a baby's nursery? Do any of y'all have pictures of rooms like this? If you do, send em to me...I'd love some inspiration!!
